PeerBuddies® provides ABA-based social skills training for children and teens with social difficulties through peer mentoring in the community & via Telehealth.
Our Mission
It’s all about friendships! Our typically developing, highly motivated Peer Buddies will be paired with your child or teen to teach critical social skills such as initiating conversations, sharing, turn taking, perspective taking, and reciprocity while having a blast in the community! Buddies meet up in fun locations in our local community, including parks, the beach, the mall, the bowling alley, and the zoo.
Our buddies are trained extensively in how to teach social skills to your child or teen in a seamless, naturalistic, fun way! Plus, your child's buddy will be the same age or slightly older to ensure your child learns the most appropriate social skills based on his or her age. Parents learn the specific strategies used through 1:1 teaching sessions and experiential training so that they feel equipped to teach these skills to their child or teen. All of our programs are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
The program is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® with over 20 years experience working with individuals with autism and general social delays. Director Bio
